Everton hit with 10-point deduction and plunged into relegation zone after they are found guilty of breaching FFP rules

Everton Football Club has been hit with a 10-point deduction by the Premier League for breaching profit and sustainability rules. As a result, the Toffees have dropped five places in the league table and are now in the relegation zone.

Appeal to the Decision

Everton has released a statement expressing shock and disappointment at the ruling and has stated its intention to appeal the decision, which it believes is unjust. The club maintains that it has been transparent and respectful throughout the process and does not agree with the finding that it failed to act in good faith. Everton will also closely monitor other cases concerning the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

The club cannot provide further comment on the matter until the appeal process has concluded.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned for updates.
