Dominic Solanke Makes Premier League History After Stunning Season That Has Led to Newcastle Transfer Rumour

Unstoppable in December

Dominic Solanke has made Premier League history with his outstanding performances this season. The 26-year-old has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for December, after an impressive run of form that has seen him score six goals in the league last month. Solanke's goals have played a crucial role in Bournemouth's climb up to 12th place in the table.

Solanke's Hat-Trick and Historic Achievement

In December, Solanke achieved a personal milestone by scoring his first ever Premier League hat-trick. In a thrilling 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest, he found the back of the net three times, leaving the Forest keeper helpless. Bournemouth's strong performance in December, with just one loss in six games, contributed to Solanke being named the league's Player of the Month.

Furthermore, Solanke has become the first-ever Bournemouth player to receive this prestigious award in the history of the Premier League. In a video shared on the club's social media, he expressed his gratitude to his teammates, staff, and the fans for their support.

Impressive Season and Transfer Rumours

Solanke's incredible form has not gone unnoticed, as he has now scored a total of 12 league goals in 19 appearances this season. Only Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland have scored more goals than him in the Premier League. This outstanding performance has attracted interest from top clubs, including Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, who previously worked with Solanke at Bournemouth, is reportedly keen on bringing him to St James' Park. However, Howe has acknowledged the financial challenges involved, stating that signing a player of Solanke's caliber may be too expensive for the club.

December Honours

In addition to Solanke's achievement, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery was named the Premier League Manager of the Month for December. Emery has surprised many with Aston Villa's strong start to the season, as they currently sit second in the league table, just three points behind leaders Liverpool.
