Chelsea's Moises Caicedo Escapes Red Card for Horror Tackle on Anthony Gordon

Chelseas Moises Caicedo Escapes Red Card for Horror Tackle on Anthony Gordon

Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo was only booked for a dreadful first-minute challenge on Newcastle's Anthony Gordon.

Fans were left shocked as Caicedo lunged recklessly from behind and studded Gordon's leg just one minute into the EFL Cup quarter-final clash.

Many viewers believe that the Chelsea midfielder should have been sent off for the dangerous tackle on the Newcastle winger.

Despite the outcry from fans, Caicedo walked away with just a yellow card.

One viewer took to social media to express their disbelief, saying, "He's lucky to still be on the pitch."

Others described the tackle as a "dirty challenge," "wow," and "that's bad."

Another social media user commented, "It was his studs on the back of Gordon's legs. Could have been sent off there to be honest."

Unfortunately for Chelsea, their let-off didn't last long, as Callum Wilson punished their dire defending by scoring the opener on 16 minutes.
