The Joys of Winning on Monet Moor
Last week, Bryony Frost reminisced about the day she rode Monet Moor to victory in a point-to-point race in Cornwall. Having watched the horse grow up and develop, winning on Monet Moor was a special moment for Bryony.
A Childhood Surrounded by Horses
Bryony's father has been breeding horses for as long as she can remember. She fondly recalls being placed under the tractor fuel tank for safety while the stallion Morpeth covered the mares. This early exposure to horses sparked Bryony's love for working with young horses.
A Promising Young Prospect
Recently, Bryony rode a young horse named Pirates' Tale at Newton Abbot. Bred by the Welch family, who are close friends of Bryony, Pirates' Tale had only ever seen two farms before his race day debut. Despite the unfamiliar surroundings and lively atmosphere, Pirates' Tale performed well and finished second. Bryony believes he is a promising racehorse with a bright future.
The Excitement of Riding Young Horses
Bryony expresses her excitement for riding young horses, particularly the bumper horses trained by Paul Nicholls at Ditcheat. She believes every single one of them has the potential to excel in their racing careers. Bryony has recently schooled around 20 four-year-olds and is thrilled about the prospects.

Upcoming Races at Wincanton
Depending on the weather, Bryony is set to ride Panjari and Switch Hitter at Wincanton. Panjari is described as quirky but determined, and despite some previous challenges, Bryony has high hopes for him. Switch Hitter is an old friend whom Bryony has won on three times. He prefers right-handed tracks and is in good form.
Until next week, Bryony encourages everyone to keep kicking and stay safe.
