Arsenal Player Ratings: Saka Shines, White Lacks Urgency

Bukayo Saka stole the show as Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory over Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The England star contributed a goal and an assist to the team's comfortable win. However, there were concerns as Saka picked up an injury, and Ben White's lack of urgency was noticeable. Here's how the Arsenal players were rated:

David Raya - 7

The Spanish goalkeeper had a quiet game but remained calm and composed throughout. He made a crucial save when Mariano Diaz came close to setting up a goal for Sevilla.

Ben White - 6

White's performance lacked urgency, and he struggled to put pressure on the ball. Despite overlapping well, he failed to create any significant impact. Some fans even called for him to be substituted at halftime.

William Saliba - 8

Saliba showcased his defensive prowess with an outstanding performance. He made a stunning tackle to deny Adria Pedrosa a clear chance at goal, highlighting why he is considered one of the best defenders in the Premier League and Europe.

Gabriel - 7

Although Gabriel missed a great opportunity to score from Saka's corner, he remained solid defensively throughout the game.

Takehiro Tomiyasu - 6

The Japanese defender had a decent first-half performance before being substituted at halftime. He did, however, lose possession carelessly before the break.

Declan Rice - 8

Rice, who was signed from West Ham for £105 million, showed his worth in midfield. He was influential and rarely made a mistake.

Jorginho - 8

The Italian midfielder played a key role in unlocking Sevilla's defense with a beautiful through ball that led to Saka's opening goal. Without his brilliant pass, Arsenal may not have broken the deadlock.

Kai Havertz - 6

Havertz missed a clear header from just three yards out in the opening minute, once again highlighting his lack of clinical finishing.

Bukayo Saka - 10

Saka was the standout player of the match. He assisted Trossard's goal with a superb pass and was involved in almost every promising Arsenal attack. Saka also scored the team's second goal with a fantastic run and finish.

Gabriel Martinelli - 9

Martinelli caused havoc for Sevilla's defense with his powerful runs down the left flank. He created numerous chances, although there was no Arsenal striker to convert them. Martinelli combined well with Saka for the team's second goal.

Leandro Trossard - 9

Trossard calmly scored the opening goal with a tap-in, taking his tally to five goals in all competitions this season. He remained lively in the second half.
