Minister for Common Sense Announces New Scheme to Tackle Woke Policies and Pointless Public Spending

Esther McVey Takes a Stand

The "Minister for Common Sense," Esther McVey, has launched a new scheme aimed at addressing the issues of woke policies and pointless public spending. In an article written for the Daily Mail, McVey expressed her frustration with wasteful practices and the misuse of taxpayer money in diversity schemes and costly quangos.

Putting an End to Wasteful Spending

McVey emphasized the need for common sense decision-making in the public sector and pledged to investigate government spending to eliminate waste and unnecessary bureaucracy. She believes that it is essential for public institutions to embrace common sense rather than political correctness.

Encouraging Diversity in Civil Service

In addition to addressing public spending, McVey also aims to encourage more individuals from outside of London to apply for top Civil Service positions. This move is part of her broader effort to bring a common-sense perspective to social affairs.

Audit of Equality and Inclusion Spending

This initiative follows the previous audit launched by Jeremy Hunt's Treasury, which examined equality, diversity, and inclusion spending in Whitehall departments. The goal of the audit was to ensure transparency and accountability in government spending.

By cracking down on woke policies and wasteful public spending, McVey hopes to bring about a more common-sense approach to governance and address the concerns of the public.
