Early Life and Background
Born on May 27, 1962, Scott Perry hails from San Diego, California. However, his family relocated to Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, during his childhood. After graduating from Penn State, Perry dedicated over 30 years of his life to the US Army.
Ambitions and Political Career
Reflecting on his aspirations, Perry revealed, "I had two dreams growing up. One was to run for president and the other was to fly helicopters. I've done a lot of things and I'm not too ashamed to do anything. You never know when you won't have a job in elected office, so you've got to have some skills outside."
In 2007, Perry was elected to Pennsylvania's House of Representatives for the 92nd district. After serving three terms, he achieved his first Congressional victory on January 3, 2013, when he assumed office in the US House of Representatives. Since then, Perry has been reelected five more times, solidifying his position as a trusted representative for Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional district.
Dedicated to Conservative Leadership
Perry appreciates the support of his constituents. On his sixth Congressional victory, he stated, "The People's voice is heard in their vote. And voices all across the 10th congressional district spoke loudly and clearly that they want strong, conservative leadership for another two years in Congress. I'm humbled by the outpouring of support and am incredibly grateful to the many voters, volunteers, and supporters who worked tirelessly on behalf of this cause. I was elected to represent all south central Pennsylvanians, and I will continue to honor that duty in Washington."
