Hamas-Supporting Radical Stripped of UK Visa

Hamas-Supporting Radical Stripped of UK Visa

First Case of Visa Revocation Since Immigration Minister's Warning

A radical sympathetic to Hamas, a proscribed terror group, has been stripped of his UK visa, according to exclusive information obtained by HOAR. The foreign national, who had been living in Britain, had his right to remain revoked after expressing support for both Hamas and the banned Palestine Islamic Jihad group.

Zero Tolerance for Visa Abuse

The individual, who remains unnamed, left the country while his case was being considered by Home Secretary Suella Braverman, who ultimately revoked his visa. This is the first case of visa revocation since Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick issued a warning about the threat posed by foreign nationals glorifying banned terror groups. Mr. Jenrick emphasized that there will be zero tolerance for individuals who abuse the privilege of a visa and endorse terrorist acts, stating that visas will continue to be revoked whenever necessary.

Special Privilege, Not Automatic Entitlement

In a letter to police chiefs, Mr. Jenrick reminded them that a UK visa is a special privilege, not an automatic entitlement. He emphasized that those who cause harm to the UK, its citizens, or its values forfeit the benefits conferred to them. This message was sent as a warning to foreign nationals who may consider glorifying banned terror groups.

High Alert for Protests

Following this revelation, authorities will be on high alert for any protesters expressing support for Hamas at an upcoming march. Since the October 7 attack, Scotland Yard has made over 100 arrests related to pro-Palestine demonstrations, including arrests for supporting proscribed groups. With a planned march coinciding with Armistice Day, 1,850 Met Officers will be on duty on Saturday, and 1,375 on Sunday.
