Fury as Labour candidate uses gravestones to hang election campaign banner

Controversial Campaign Tactics

A Labour candidate has sparked outrage after using gravestones to hang an election campaign banner in Barking, East London. Photos show Darren Rodwell's face fixed to headstones in a cemetery, with two straps holding up the roadside poster behind it.

Hiding the Truth

Rodwell, the current head of Barking Council, is vying to become the local MP. While he posed for pictures with the banner, he concealed the method used to hold it in place.

Outrage and Criticism

Matt Lismore, a member of the Labour party, expressed his shock at the campaign tactic and promptly took down the banner. He criticized Rodwell, stating, "To hang his election banner from people's gravestones in Barking Abbey is tone-deaf. This is unacceptable behavior from a Labour candidate."

Matthew Goodwin-Freeman, an activist from Harrow Conservatives, described the act as "disgraceful" and called for Rodwell's immediate suspension from the Labour party.
