Android Users Rejoice: Free Upgrade Speeds Up Phones and Clears Inbox with One Click

Google Introduces Select All Button to Gmail App on Android

Millions of Android users have received an exciting new feature from Google - a Select All button on the Gmail app. Not only does this upgrade help users save time, but it also helps to free up storage space on their devices.

Clean Out Inbox Faster and Easier

When storage space is limited, devices can become slow and sluggish. Google has addressed this issue by introducing the Select All button to Gmail on Android. This new feature allows users to easily clean out their inbox and spam folder with just one click, saving them valuable time.

Unlock the Best Performance

In a previous announcement, Google urged users to free up space on their devices in order to unlock the best performance. The tech giant recommends keeping at least 10% of the storage space free. With the new Select All button, users can quickly delete unwanted emails and make room for more important files and apps.

A Long-Awaited Feature

While the Select All button has been available on the web version of Gmail for some time, Android users can now enjoy this time-saving feature on their smartphones. However, iPhone users are still waiting for this feature to be released on their devices.

Select All, But in Batches

When an email is selected in the Gmail app, the Select All tick-box appears at the top left of the screen. However, it's important to note that the Select All button only selects 50 emails at a time, just like the desktop version. While it may not completely clear out your inbox, it significantly reduces the time and effort required to delete emails, especially for those who receive an influx of messages while on annual leave.

Rolling Out to All Android Users

Google has begun rolling out this new feature to all Android users. Currently, it is available on Pixel and Galaxy phones running Android 13 or higher. If you don't see the Select All button in your Gmail app, make sure to check for updates in the Play Store. The updated version of Gmail is titled: 2023.08.20.561750975.
