Holy crap, the Ronaldo dynasty continues! I've been following CR7's career since his skinny days at United, and now his kid is making waves. Like father, like son? We're about to find out.
Cristiano Sr. couldn't contain himself on Instagram yesterday, proudly sharing that his firstborn made the Portugal Under-15s squad. The 40-year-old legend (God, that makes me feel ancient) put his son's name at the TOP of the squad list with a fire emoji. Classic proud dad moment.
From Academy Hopper to International Footballer
Junior's been on quite the journey already. At just 14, he's bounced between the academies of some massive clubs - Juventus, Man United, and now Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. I remember when the pics first surfaced of tiny Cristiano Jr. in a Juve kit... was that really two years ago already?
This kid's passport must look insane.

The upcoming fixtures against Japan, Greece and England will be his first taste of international football. Wonder if he feels the weight of that name on his back? Can't be easy being the son of arguably the greatest goalscorer in history.
The Dream: Father-Son Duo?
Back in 2022 (when Ronaldo was still banging in goals for United before that explosive interview), he revealed something that made me spit out my coffee. His son apparently told him: "dad, hold on a few more years, I want to play with you!"
I mean... could it actually happen? Ronaldo is still scoring for fun in Saudi at 40. If Junior develops quickly enough, they could theoretically share a pitch in 3-4 years. Imagine teh headlines!
No Pressure, Kid (Yeah, Right)
Ronaldo insists he'll never force his son down the football path, saying: "I will never pressure him. He will do what he wants." Which sounds lovely, but... c'mon. When your dad has five Ballon d'Ors gathering dust at home, there's pressure whether anyone mentions it or not.

"Also what I want the most for Cristianito and everyone else is that they're happy and that they choose what they want," Ronaldo added. "I will support in any way."
Listen. I've watched enough sports documentaries to know how these father-son athlete dynamics play out. Sometimes brilliantly, sometimes... not so much. Remember the Jordan kids? Exactly.
What Happens in Manchester Stays in Manchester?
I'm particularly curious about how the England match will go. Junior spent time in Manchester's academy setup - will he be facing former teammates? Does he secretly speak with a slight Mancunian accent when Dad's not around? These are the important questions nobody's asking!
And yes, I'm still bitter about Ronaldo leaving United. Again.
The €64,000 Question
Is he actually any good? That's what we're all wondering, right? The footage I've seen shows decent technique (obviously), but it's hard to tell if he's getting special treatment. Academy coaches aren't exactly going to two-foot tackle the son of their club's biggest star.
Whatever happens, I'll be watching this space. The kid's only 14 and already making international squads. Meanwhile, my biggest achievement at 14 was completing Final Fantasy VII without a strategy guide.
Proud of you, son, indeed.
