Pharrell Williams Gives Wayne Rooney Food for Thought as Birmingham Academy Ace Scores Twice and Fans Say He Got Lucky

Wayne Rooney may be considering a new addition to the first team after the impressive performance of Pharrell Williams in the Birmingham academy side.

Since taking over at St Andrew's, Rooney has had a rocky start.

A Struggling Start

Appointed as John Eustace's replacement in October, Rooney has seen the club's position in the Championship drop from sixth to 18th.

With four losses and one draw in his five matches in charge, Rooney is looking for ways to improve the team, including giving young prospect Williams a chance.

Impressive Performance

The 17-year-old Williams came off the bench and scored two goals against Coventry United in the Birmingham Senior Cup Second Round.

Despite his achievement, some fans couldn't resist making jokes about his famous namesake.

Fans React

One fan joked, "Bet he is happy."

Another commented, "He's about to get lucky."

And a third wrote, "It might seem crazy what I'm bout to say."

Despite the humor, the Blues won the game 4-0, with goals from Rico Patterson and Junior Dixon alongside Williams' brace.

They have now secured a spot in the third round of the competition.

Rooney Remains Optimistic

Despite the team's recent poor form, Rooney remains hopeful and sees positive signs of improvement.

After the defeat to Sunderland, he said, "The last three games have seen positives and improvement. It could have gone either way. We caused them some big problems throughout and got into some excellent positions."
