Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has issued an apology to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and the match officials following his furious outburst at the end of Chelsea's 4-4 draw with City. Pochettino admitted that his behavior was not a good image for himself or for football as a whole.
Unsportsmanlike Conduct
Pochettino acknowledged that he deserved to be booked for his X-rated rant at the full-time whistle, as well as for neglecting to shake Guardiola's hand. The Spurs manager was animated throughout the match and was particularly incensed at the end as his side pushed for a winning goal.
Speaking about his behavior, Pochettino said, "I need to apologize to Anthony [Taylor, the referee] and the officials. I crossed the limit and I deserve to be booked. It's not a good image for me or for football."
Guardiola's Reaction
Guardiola, on the other hand, was understanding of Pochettino's outburst, stating that he himself has experienced similar reactions in the dugout from the Spurs manager in the past. The City boss brushed off the incident, saying, "It's fine, honestly. It happened to me sometimes too. Completely, completely fine."

Explosive Finale
The match between Chelsea and Manchester City ended in a thrilling 4-4 draw, with Cole Palmer rescuing a point for Chelsea with a stoppage-time penalty. Pochettino's frustration stemmed from a decision by referee Anthony Taylor to signal full time just as Marc Cucurella was surging forward with Raheem Sterling well placed in front of him.
Pochettino's explosive reaction, captured on camera, saw him shouting and gesticulating at the fourth official, while his own bench had to hold him back from storming onto the pitch.
Despite the controversy, Pochettino expressed remorse for his actions and apologized to both Anthony Taylor and Pep Guardiola for his behavior.
