Former Premier League Star's Astonishing Keep-Up Ability
Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke was known for his incredible skills on the pitch, but it turns out he had a hidden talent off the field as well. According to his ex-Aston Villa team mate Alan Wright, Yorke used to make £100 bets with his fellow players that he could do 50 keep-ups while standing in a bin in the dressing room. And he never failed to impress.
Unbelievable Skill and Confidence
Wright revealed the astonishing feat on the I Had Trials Once Podcast, sponsored by bet365. He described Yorke as a "great player" with an "ridiculous amount of skill." Yorke's ability to keep the ball in the air while standing in a small bin seemed impossible, but he never failed to accomplish it. Wright added that when Yorke joined Manchester United and played alongside Andy Cole, their partnership was simply amazing.
Yorke's Current Role as a Pundit
Now retired from professional football, Yorke works as a pundit for beIN Sports. Recently, he found himself in a clash with fellow pundit Andy Gray. Yorke suggested that Ajax coach Erik ten Hag may have instructed Bruno Fernandes to intentionally receive a yellow card in a match against Bournemouth, even though it meant he would be suspended for the upcoming clash against Liverpool. Gray argued that a captain should be responsible for his own behavior, while Yorke maintained that the coach should have taken Fernandes off the pitch.
Yorke's talent and insight continue to make waves even after his playing days, proving that he is a true legend of the game.
