Liverpool Cancel Fabio Carvalhos Loan at RB Leipzig

Liverpool Cut Short Carvalho's Loan

Liverpool Football Club has decided to cancel Fabio Carvalho's loan at RB Leipzig. The Portuguese winger joined the German club in the summer but struggled for game time, making only 15 appearances with no goals and just three starts.

Possible Return to Fulham

According to The Mirror, Carvalho is now open to returning to Fulham for the remainder of the season. The 19-year-old had left the West London club in May 2022 to sign with Liverpool, where he has scored three goals in 21 games.

Continuing Development on Loan

Liverpool is keen for Carvalho to continue his development through a loan spell. The club wants him to gain more playing time and experience, and a return to Fulham could provide that opportunity. The player himself is reportedly open to the idea.

Craven Cottage Boss Distant from a Move

Fulham manager Marco Silva, however, has distanced himself from the potential transfer. When asked about Carvalho's return, Silva stated, "It’s not for me to talk about it. Liverpool bought him, that’s for Jurgen and Liverpool to talk about."

Possible Premier League Return for Firmino

In other news, former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is reportedly considering a return to the Premier League. The Brazilian has become frustrated during his time with Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia. Sheffield United is said to be interested in signing him.

Uncertainty Surrounding Firmino's Future

TalkSPORT reports that Sheffield United's former manager Paul Heckingbottom was monitoring Firmino's situation. However, with Chris Wilder taking over as the new manager, it remains unclear if the club will make a formal approach for the Brazilian striker.
