Joseph Parker Claps Back at Stupid Question in Deontay Wilder Press Conference… and Fans are Team Parker

The Showdown

Joseph Parker expressed his frustration at a recent press conference when a question was asked that he deemed "stupid". The New Zealander is set to face off against Deontay Wilder in a highly anticipated super-fight with Anthony Joshua on the horizon. However, Wilder, now known as "Doctor Sleep", warned Parker that he's in for an early night.

Wilder's Warning

During the press conference, Wilder, 38, confidently stated, "End of the day, people have things to do. They wanna come and see a fight and after that they want to go party. So when you’re watching me don’t blink, I’m going to give you what you want to see. Nowadays my name is Doctor Sleep. And I’ve definitely got the NyQuil in the right hand so I hope he brings a pillow and a blanket. It gets a little chilly at night."

Parker's Reaction

Parker, 31, was taken aback when the press conference host asked if he would be "bringing a pillow". In response, he sharply replied, "Don’t ask me silly questions. That’s a stupid question, onto the next one."

Fans Stand with Parker

Fans were quick to show their support for Parker, criticizing the question as disrespectful. One fan commented, "Disrespectful question to any fighter," while another added, "That was disrespectful." However, not everyone saw it that way, with one person arguing, "The number of clowns thinking that was a serious question."
