JEREMIE ALIADIERE Returns to Arsenal in New Role After Ill-Timed Transfer

Frenchman Regrets Leaving Arsenal

Jeremie Aliadiere, a former Premier League title winner with Arsenal, is back at the club over 15 years after his ill-timed transfer away. Aliadiere spent eight years with the Gunners, winning five trophies including two league titles and the FA Cup. However, he left to join Middlesbrough in 2007 and has since admitted regretting the decision.

Dreams of Replacing Thierry Henry

Aliadiere revealed in 2018 that he believes he could have replaced Thierry Henry in the Arsenal team if he had stayed. He forced through the transfer to Middlesbrough at age 24, but now regrets leaving the club. Aliadiere feels that Arsenal was the ideal club for him and that he could have spent his entire career there.

Coaching Career and New Role at Arsenal

After retiring from professional football, Aliadiere has pursued a coaching career and is currently completing his UEFA B licence. He has been coaching for Luton's academy and also works as a pundit for Astro Supersport. Now, he has returned to Arsenal in a new role as a matchday presenter for his former club.

Aliadiere's Career After Middlesbrough

Following his time at Middlesbrough, Aliadiere had two spells with Lorient in France and also played in Qatar. He announced his retirement in 2017 at the age of 34 after Lorient's relegation to Ligue 2. Now, he is back at Arsenal and looking forward to his new role with the club.
