Snooker legend Jimmy White has opened up about his battle with addiction, admitting that he was "stoned for 20 years." The 61-year-old, who previously admitted to excessive drinking and drug use, revealed that his crack cocaine addiction drained his bank account and affected his snooker career.
A Life of Excess
White's wild years with fellow snooker legend Alex "Hurricane" Higgins were recently featured in the documentary Gods of Snooker. The film explored the glory days of the sport in the 1980s, when stars like White helped transform snooker into a rock'n'roll spectacle with a backdrop of sex and drugs.
A Dark Turn
However, White's fame came with a dark side. He became hooked on booze and cocaine during his partying days with Higgins and snooker pro Kirk Stevens. His addiction to crack cocaine led to him draining his bank account and hiding his drug use from his then-wife, Maureen.
A Miraculous Career
Despite his struggles, White managed to reach six World Championship finals. Although he lost all of them, he considers his achievements a "miracle" considering his drug-fueled lifestyle. Now, he says he has "unfinished business" in the game and believes he can still make a comeback.

From Champion to Battling Addiction
During his prime, White won the Masters in 1984 and the UK Championship in 1992. However, in recent years, he has struggled to replicate his past success. Despite his setbacks, White remains determined to overcome his addiction and make a mark in snooker once again.
