Frankel's Stud Fee Soars to £350,000 After Earning £67 Million This Year

Frankels Stud Fee Soars to £350,000 After Earning £67 Million This Year

Record-Breaking Price

Frankel, the legendary super-stallion, is set to charge a world-record stud fee of £350,000 for the upcoming season. This figure is a staggering £90,000 more than the average cost of a house in the UK.

Unbeatable Legacy

Frankel, who remains undefeated on the racecourse, has proven to be just as successful as a sire. His incredible earnings of over £67 million this year have propelled him to the top of the stud fee rankings.

Elite Company

Frankel now shares the honor of commanding the highest stud fee with Dubawi, another prominent sire owned by Sheikh Mohammed of Dubai. No other horse in the world charges more than these two giants of the industry.

Offspring Success

Frankel's hefty price increase from last year's fee of £275,000 can be attributed to the remarkable achievements of his progeny on the racecourse. His offspring have consistently impressed, with winners including Juddmonte International champion Mostahdaf and Prince of Wales's Stakes victor.

In-Demand Bloodline

Potential superstars by Frankel are highly sought after, with buyers quick to invest. At the recent Tattersalls Book 1 sale, two of his yearlings sold for approximately £2 million and £1.7 million, while a filly at the Goffs Orby Sale in Ireland fetched £1.6 million.

Stud Stablemates

Frankel's companions at Banstead Manor Stud will also command significant fees. Chaldean, in his first year as a stallion, will charge £25,000, while Kingman, the 2014 European Horse of the Year, will charge £125,000.

Continued Success

Simon Mockridge, the general manager at Juddmonte UK, expressed his satisfaction with the season, stating that Frankel is poised to win his second Champion Sire title in three years. Juddmonte's roster was also the leading stallion farm at Royal Ascot.

Despite Frankel's remarkable achievements, he still has some way to go to match the late Galileo, who was rumored to be the first billion-pound horse after charging £600,000 to cover a mare at his peak.
