Adrian Pennock's Surprise Win
Former English Football League boss, Adrian Pennock, has recently hit the jackpot in the People's Postcode Lottery, winning a share of £1 million. Pennock, who previously coached a team for one of the world's richest men, was awarded £83,333 along with other members of his Kent postcode.
From Football to Royalty
Pennock, who managed teams like Gillingham and Forest Green Rovers, had an interesting career in football. He also worked for the Crown Prince of Brunei, Al-Muhtadee Billah, who is estimated to have a fortune of £20 billion.
The Surprise Call
Pennock was managing non-league Barrow when he received a surprise call from a representative of the Crown Prince. He was recruited to take charge of DPMM, a team in the Singapore Premier League owned by the Crown Prince. Pennock led DPMM to a championship title and has been in charge of the team since 2019.
A Legend in Gillingham
Pennock, who was born in Ipswich, played professionally for Norwich City, Bournemouth, and Gillingham. He remains a club legend at Gillingham, where he captained the team to a Second Division promotion play-off triumph at Wembley in 2000. He later went on to manage Forest Green Rovers and Gillingham before moving to Barrow in Cumbria.

A Family Win
Pennock's win in the People's Postcode Lottery was a family affair. His son, Ashley, who works as a secondary school teacher, shares the £1 million prize with nine neighboring families. It was Ashley who made the call to tell his dad the good news.
Kent's Luck Continues
Kent has been dubbed "one of Britain's luckiest counties" after three locals recently won £3 million in Lotto prizes. In another People's Postcode Lottery draw, neighbors in the town of Deal also shared a £1 million prize.
Overall, it seems like Kent residents are having a lucky streak when it comes to winning big in the lottery!
