Former US Open champion shows off fresh injury scare
Emma Raducanu, the former US Open champion, has given fans hope of a major comeback as she recently showcased her intense workout routine. However, the tennis star also revealed a fresh injury scare during her training.
Raducanu has spent the past eight months on the sidelines recovering from surgeries on both wrists and one ankle. Despite her time away from the court, the 21-year-old athlete has been diligently training for her upcoming tournament in Auckland.
Training Without a Coach or Settled Team
While Raducanu has been putting in the work, she currently does not have a coach or a settled team supporting her. This makes her comeback even more impressive as she navigates the challenges of training alone.
The tennis star took to Instagram to share a video of an intense cycling session, where she was visibly dripping with sweat. In addition to the video, Raducanu also posted a picture revealing a nasty blister on the palm of her hand.

Raducanu captioned the post, stating, "bts @ ntc, feels good to be pushing each other on. didn't have any court pics but was out there & another good day."
Wildcard Entry for ASB Classic
Raducanu has been awarded a wildcard entry into the ASB Classic in Auckland, which is set to take place from January 1-7. This tournament will mark her first competitive appearance after her extended break.
In the main draw, Raducanu could potentially face off against reigning US Open champion Coco Gauff or former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki. It will be an exciting opportunity for the young athlete to test her skills against top-level competition.
Recovering from Injuries
Raducanu missed out on participating in this year's French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open due to her injuries. She has been undergoing rehabilitation at the National Tennis Centre in London over the past few months.

The tennis star has had a difficult time staying injury-free since her triumphant victory at the US Open. Throughout her career, Raducanu has faced various setbacks, including a painful ankle injury she sustained during a match in Auckland earlier this year.
Looking Ahead to the Australian Open
The Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tournament of the new season, is set to begin on Sunday, January 14. As of now, Raducanu will have to go through qualifying unless there are six withdrawals in the women's draw leading up to the event.
Despite her recent challenges, fans of the British athlete are confident in her abilities and have even speculated that she could pursue a career in art due to her incredible creative talent.
Raducanu's comeback journey will undoubtedly be one to watch as she aims to regain her form and make her mark in the world of tennis once again.
