Butts, known for his leadership skills and off-spin bowling, played a significant role in the West Indies cricket team. After retiring, he served as the chairman of selectors for the West Indies.

Solomon, a talented batsman, was famous for his run out that resulted in the first-ever tied test match against Australia in 1960. He was highly regarded for his contributions to Guyana and the West Indies cricket team.

Cricket fans took to social media to express their condolences and pay tribute to the two legendary players. One devastated fan wrote, "RIP Legend," while another expressed their sadness and extended their thoughts to Butts' family and friends.

This unfortunate news comes just before England's final one-day international against the West Indies in Barbados. The series is currently tied at 1-1, and both teams are set to play five T20 matches later this month.
