Arsenal Secure 3-1 Victory Against Burnley at Emirates

Gunners' Performance Rated: Trossard Shines, Vieira's Red Card Mars Victory

Arsenal secured a crucial 3-1 win at the Emirates against Premier League newcomers Burnley, but it wasn't an easy victory. Leandro Trossard, William Saliba, and Oleksandr Zinchenko scored the goals that inspired the Gunners to victory. However, Fabio Vieira's reckless red card put a slight blemish on the win. Despite that, Mikel Arteta will be pleased as his team heads into the international break with two consecutive wins. Here's a breakdown of how SunSport's Nyle Smith rated Arsenal's performance.

David Raya - 7

In goal, David Raya made several important saves throughout the match, including a spectacular one-handed parry in the first half.

Takehiro Tomiyasu - 6

Tomiyasu's height and physical presence brought stability to Arsenal's defense, but he went down too easily leading to Burnley's goal.

William Saliba - 8

Saliba showed his calm and composed presence at the back and scored a crucial second goal for the Gunners.

Jorginho - 6

Captain Jorginho didn't make much of an impact, but his experience and ball-splitting passes helped keep the team organized.

Declan Rice - 7

Rice showed his defensive prowess and ability to start attacks, adding a touch of magic to Arsenal's midfield.

Bukayo Saka - 7

Saka didn't reach the heights of his Champions League performance, but his well-timed header set up Trossard's goal.

Subs

Substitutes Jakub Kiwior, Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira, and Eddie Nketiah had minimal impact on the game as Arsenal focused on defending their lead.

Arsenal's victory against Burnley is a much-needed boost for Mikel Arteta's side as they head into the international break. Despite the slight blemish of Vieira's red card, the Gunners will be hoping to build on this performance and carry the momentum forward in the Premier League.
