Carrie Johnson, formerly known as Carrie Symonds, was born on March 17, 1988, in London, England. She has a background in communications and PR, having worked for the Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) until 2018.

She comes from a notable family, with her father being one of the founders of The Independent and her mother serving as one of the paper's lawyers.

Carrie grew up in East Sheen, South West London, and attended the Godolphin and Latymer School in Hammersmith.

A Love Story

Carrie and Boris Johnson's relationship became public when she supported his leadership bid in June 2019. They tied the knot on May 29, 2021, at Westminster Cathedral, just a short distance from their then-home in Downing Street.
